Not Blogging Anymore

Image
As much as I wanted to continue this blog, I've come to the conclusion I suck at writing. So I'll stop. I'm moving all my future rantings (including TV shows) on Instagram @Horrortized . Follow me if you want. I also post my favorite death metal tracks there and I just started a Cursed Tortilla series in my IG stories. TV recap blog is pretty dead as well but i have 30+ unpublished posts but I will likely post those eventually.

Presencias (2022)

Presencias is a Mexican suspense/horror movie that came out in 2022 in the language of spanish. Means "presences" in english. How I watched: Vix

Kuntilanak 2 (2019)

Image
Kuntilanak 2 is an Indonesian horror movie that came out in 2019 in the language of indonesian. How I watched: Youtube (more info at the bottom of the post) For the short of it: In this sequel, Dinda's biological mother enters the picture and Ms. Dona thinks she is sketch as hell. Yes, I finally got around to finally make a post on this sequel after nearly a year that I posted about the first  Kuntilanak  movie. Alright there's good news and bad news. Maybe even worse news. Good news is that you don't exactly need to watch the first movie in order to watch this one as this sequel works well as a stand alone. Bad news is that it's not easily accessible on a streaming platform, you have to take a couple of extra steps to watch. Worse news: even if you wanted to watch the first movie, it got removed from Netflix (USA) which is where I previously was able to watch it. More details on that at the end of the post. For the purposes of this movie being a tad cumbersome to find,

Recalled (2021)

Image
Recalled is a South Korean thriller that came out in 2021 in the language of korean. How I watched: Viki Rakuten For the short of it: When a woman involved in an accident returns home, she gets terrifying visions of the future. The long of it?  So yeah, Viki Rakuten is a recent streaming platform that I immersed myself into. It's a free app for asian tv shows and movies. Technically it IS free but I swear to jeebus the ads on there is worse than YouTube itself. I caved and got their special discount on their first ever International K-Drama Day event on November 29th so now I watch ad free for a year at 29% off. No, this ain't a sponsored post lol I just think a lot of people sleep on Viki Rakuten. There's some great gems on here. Dark Hole is one show I highly recommend, currently recapping it on my TV blog. I figured with such a bad ass show like Dark Hole , there's just GOT to be some awesome movies on there too. I scrolled and there honestly doesn't

Pari (2018)

Image
Pari is an Indian supernatural horror movie that came out in 2018 in the language of Hindi. How I watched: Amazon Prime Video For the short of it: After a woman is killed, the driver seeks out to help the surviving daughter who has some very demonic cult connections. You know, I wasn't kidding when I said that I REALLY delved deep into indian horror movies. Even tv shows too! Most of these I originally watched on Amazon Prime Video. I noticed they recently removed Tumbbad . Mega sad face. Not available anywhere else from what I can tell. Hopefully it will make a comeback eventually. For shows, I really dug Adhura despite it being a tad try hard in being scary but overall I'd totally recommend you guys to check that one out. I also started watching The Village but that has pretty dismal ratings. It's like...not terrible at all but I suspect it's because it's a ripoff of The Hills Have Eyes. I am aware the pictures are off center. Not exactly sure how to f

Year in Review: 2023

Image
Hola welcome to my 2nd annual end of the year retrospective where I look back at all the movies I posted about into one big round up as I give my final thoughts as we usher in a new year for new movies.  For the year of 2023 I managed to post 51 movies of various languages but a sizable chunk for da motherland of the US of A. As I prepared for this post I revisited each and every blog post and at times even rewatched the movies themselves. Just remember, this list is not that deep. I'm not as well versed in the horror genre as well as I thought I was. There are some legit real die hards out there so this is just from an average joe perspective. So without further ado, new year, new graphics; let's get into our Horrortized award winning movies..kidding obviously. Those are useless as fuck. Some may have ties as I will try to at least mention every single movie. I also added a few more categories from last year but that being said some didn't make the cut so let's jus

Sint (2010)

Image
Sint AKA Saint is a Dutch (Netherlands) horror movie that came out in 2010 in the language of dutch. How I watched: Tubi for subs (AMC+ for dubs) For the short of it: The rare, rare full moon on December 5th triggers the real Sinterklaas to unleash havoc in a small town. The long of it? Coming from the Netherlands, I was quick to find yet another interesting Christmas themed foreign movie as I was making my list of potential watches for the week. I admit, the only reason I picked this movie is because it's foreign so sue me. Also, the movie poster looks lit as fuck. Just for a primer, as I had to get privy to it myself, this is based on Sinterklaas which is the Dutch version of Santa Claus which also means that they celebrate Christmas on December 5th rather than 25th for deez Americans that I unfortunately identify as. Just a few key differences but some similarities as well. They have their own lore and stuff with that rooted in innocence and Saint Nicholas so there.
